The sixth meeting of the Joint Committee of the Korea–Uzbekistan Rare Metals Center was held with the participation of The Uzbekistan Technological Metals Complex (TMK). The progress achieved under the ODA program was highly commended, and key priorities for the next stage of cooperation were identified.
💠 Under the ODA program, the Republic of Korea has supplied 21 types of advanced laboratory and pilot-scale equipment to the research center in Uzbekistan. During the meeting, participants reviewed operational plans for the equipment and a roadmap for developing production technologies jointly prepared by TMK and R&D Park.
🎓 The parties agreed to organize a two-stage training program for 20 engineers. Discussions also covered joint educational initiatives, mentorship programs, knowledge transfer from Korean experts, and the establishment of an equipment maintenance system.
🤝 The meeting also focused on expanding industrial cooperation in rare metal supply chains, facilitating information exchange through the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), and strengthening partnerships among TMK, R&D Park, Uzbek research institutions, and Korean organizations.
