The global economy is rapidly transitioning to a green transformation stage. In this process, graphite is becoming increasingly important as a strategic raw material and is now recognized as one of the key materials in the "green economy."

As part of developing the critical minerals sector in Uzbekistan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has initiated the prioritization of an integrated "mine-metal-market" model in the mining industry.
As a practical result of this approach, the country's first large-scale industrial graphite project is being implemented by the joint venture Graphtech Mining and Production, which is part of TMK.
What are the strategic directions of the project?

Geological exploration work at the Taskazgan deposit is being carried out using a comprehensive approach. Along with traditional drilling operations, this includes:
have been carried out.
All the obtained data are being analyzed within the framework of a single comprehensive geological model. Exploration and resource assessment work is being conducted in full compliance with the requirements of the international JORC standard, which ensures the transparency and investment reliability of the project.

TMK's strategy is not limited to concentrate production alone. By 2030, it is planned to establish a complete graphite-based value chain in Uzbekistan.
