By the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence, the Uzbekistan Technological Metals Complex (TMK) will complete the construction of Smart Powder—the first and only powder metallurgy enterprise in Central Asia.
The USD 25.2 million project will have an annual production capacity of 50 million high-precision automotive parts. The facility will manufacture complex components for automotive engines and other vehicle systems using advanced Press & Sinter technology.
In the future, the enterprise plans to expand its product range to more than 50 types of high-precision automotive components. The products will be supplied to the domestic market and exported to the Republic of Korea, Iran, Malaysia, and other countries.
The project will serve as an important platform for further expanding cooperation with major international industrial companies such as Hyundai, Kia Motors, JFE Steel, Mitsubishi Materials, and others.
Smart Powder aims to become a Tier 1 supplier to the automotive industry in Central Asia, providing components directly to the world’s leading automotive brands.
