Uzbekistan continues to strengthen its position in the global critical minerals value chain by expanding tungsten processing capabilities at the Ingichka facility.
A new project, valued at $8.5 million, is currently underway to scale up the processing of technogenic tungsten waste and increase the production of high-value tungsten concentrate (WO₃).
Key Targets:
Increase WO₃ concentrate production from 300 tons to:
587 tons by 2026
1,170 tons by 2027
Expand technogenic waste processing volumes to:
1.1 million tons in 2026
1.95 million tons in 2027
Expected Outcomes:
Product value to reach $7.4 million in 2026.
This initiative reflects Uzbekistan’s strategic shift toward value-added processing, efficient resource utilization, and sustainable development of critical raw materials.
By transforming industrial waste into high-value products, the project also contributes to circular economy principles and environmental responsibility.
