A delegation from the Uzbekistan Technological Metals Complex (TMK) participated in the international business event, the "Central Asia - Republic of Korea 2026 Business Forum," held in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
The event was organized by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) with the participation of the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Resources of the Republic of Korea. About 40 foreign buyers and more than 90 Korean companies attended the event.
The main part of the event consisted of one-on-one business meetings between foreign and Korean companies. According to the official program, the negotiations were conducted throughout the day in separate sessions.
As part of the B2B program, the TMK delegation held meetings with representatives of about 10 leading Korean companies, including SK specialty, Foosung, NATM, and Daesan Non-Ferrous Metal. During these meetings, fruitful negotiations were held on promising areas of cooperation, and important agreements were reached.
The negotiations served as a practical platform for expanding industrial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Korea, establishing new business ties, and discussing promising opportunities for cooperation in the field of critical minerals.
These areas align with the overall agenda of the economic events in Korea, where issues of expanding trade and investment cooperation, deepening ties regarding critical minerals, and developing cooperation in the energy and infrastructure sectors were prominently featured.
Direct meetings with Korean companies allowed TMK to establish new business contacts, identify areas for mutually beneficial cooperation, and continue the dialogue on expanding international partnerships in the field of critical minerals.
