These days, the 39th Annual General Meeting of the International Tungsten Industry Association (ITIA) is taking place in Berlin, Germany.
The Uzbekistan Technological Metals Complex (TMK), as the only member of the association from Central Asia, is holding negotiations with leading producers and buyers in the tungsten industry to promote Uzbekistan's tungsten products on international markets and establish new trade ties.
Today, ITIA is a global industry platform bringing together 68 companies from 25 countries. The meeting in Berlin discusses the situation in tungsten markets, global demand, prospects for tungsten use, and market forecasts.
As part of the meeting, the TMK delegation is holding a series of business meetings with companies from Japan, Germany, the USA, Canada, Sweden, the UK, India, Italy, Switzerland, Estonia, Thailand, Kazakhstan, and Taiwan.
One of the main focuses of the negotiations is finding new buyers and developing export markets for tungsten products manufactured in Uzbekistan, including tungsten oxide, tungsten carbide, and tungsten bars and rods, as well as expanding trade relations and discussing long-term supply opportunities.
Agreements on cooperation were also reached between end-user companies producing finished tungsten products and the "Technopark of Future Metals" managed by TMK, to set up production in Uzbekistan and create products with high added value.
Active participation in global industrial platforms such as ITIA allows TMK to establish direct contacts with international buyers, expand the export geography of Uzbekistan's tungsten products, and strengthen the country's role in the global tungsten supply chain.
