Today, the head office of the Uzbekistan Technological Metals Complex (TMK) hosted the defense of master’s theses by students of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies.
Seven master’s students presented their research projects in the fields of computer engineering, digital technologies, Data Science, 3D visualization, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and other advanced disciplines.
TMK specialists, acting as representatives of the real industrial sector, assessed the practical significance of the theses, their potential for industrial implementation, as well as opportunities for further application in production processes.
Particular attention was drawn to a project focused on hydrodynamic modeling. In the future, this direction may serve as the basis for developing domestic alternatives to imported software solutions used for hydrodynamic process modeling.
Another project that generated significant practical interest focused on the assessment of seismic and vibration fluctuations using 3D modeling technologies.
Today, within the framework of cooperation between TMK and TUIT, practical work is being carried out in the following areas:
✔️ development of GIS solutions for the TMK Situation Center;
✔️ implementation of AI tools for Uzbek-language speech transcription;
✔️ automatic generation of tasks based on meeting outcomes;
✔️ application of Micromine Origin, GeoBank, and Ignition/ASODU systems;
✔️ development of dual education and training of modern specialists for industry.
The organization of master’s thesis defenses at TMK became an important step toward strengthening the integration of science, education, and industry, directing young specialists’ scientific developments toward real industrial needs, and building a professional talent pool for the digital industry of the future.
