TMK has established an important partnership with one of South Korea's leading research centers, the Nanostructured Materials Laboratory R&D Center. The TMK R&D Park will collaborate with this center across all areas of activity.
This advanced research center at Sejong University, led by prominent materials scientist Professor Kim Ki-bom, specializes in the development of nanostructured and high-strength alloys.
The main areas of cooperation are:
➡️ Engineer training: short- and long-term study trips, lectures, and training sessions;
➡️ Joint academic cooperation: conferences, seminars, workshops, and joint research projects;
➡️ Cooperation in new materials: creating advanced materials and conducting pilot tests.
The collaboration is expected to result in the production and widespread industrial application of the following products:
⚫️ New heat-resistant alloys;
⚫️ High-strength steels for the mining industry;
⚫️ Ductile iron for the mining and metallurgical industries;
⚫️ Advanced alloys for the automotive and aviation industries.
Innovative alloys developed by the center are currently in active use in the manufacturing processes of major automakers in the Republic of Korea.
