TMK: An Active Participant in Central Asia's Green Transformation

The Regional Environmental Summit 2026, held under the motto "A Common Vision for a Sustainable Future," commenced today in Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan. This prestigious international event brings together heads of state from Central Asia, as well as representatives from international organizations, major financial institutions, business communities, the scientific community, and civil society.

The summit's primary objective is to ensure environmentally sustainable development in the region, strengthen cooperation in mitigating the effects of climate change, and accelerate the transition to a green economy.

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, attended the forum's opening ceremony. In his speech, he focused on sustainable development in Central Asia, the rational use of water resources, combating climate change, and strengthening environmental security.

The President also emphasized the need to enhance regional cooperation, foster environmental solidarity, and recognize the responsibility owed to future generations. The speech noted that the transition to a green economy and the implementation of joint environmental initiatives are of strategic importance for the nations of Central Asia.

The Uzbek Technological Metals Complex  (TMK) is participating in this international event, presenting its practical results in ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) and showcasing its achievements in environmental sustainability.

Specifically, the introduction of modern environmental technologies and online monitoring systems has led to a significant reduction in harmful emissions. The use of purification equipment with over 95% efficiency, along with solar energy, lessens the environmental impact of production. Furthermore, 750,000 tons of industrial waste are processed annually, ensuring efficient resource utilization. As part of its social and environmental efforts, the company is implementing greening projects, planting thousands of tree and flower seedlings and expanding green spaces.

The future of Central Asia is being built on a harmonious combination of environmental sustainability, industrial modernization, and regional cooperation. TMK is one of the architects of this future.
