An important meeting was held between the Uzbekistan Technological Metals Complex (TMK) and the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, focusing on strengthening the integration of science and industry and accelerating the practical application of advanced scientific developments.
As part of the visit, the Academy of Sciences delegation toured TMK’s industrial facilities in Chirchiq, where they gained first-hand insight into production processes and advanced technological solutions currently being implemented.
The meeting resulted in an agreement to take cooperation to a qualitatively new level, including the establishment of a Technology Transfer Office:
➡️ The new office will coordinate the development and industrial implementation of scientific innovations through the “scientific idea → technology → prototype → pilot testing → industrial implementation → commercialization” pathway;
➡️ TMK plans to establish specialized laboratories in promising areas, including semiconductors, 5N–7N high-purity materials, battery materials, artificial intelligence, and Digital Twin technologies;
➡️ A modern digital environment will be created to transform practical industrial challenges into research objectives and facilitate the formation of scientific consortia.
This partnership will contribute to building an integrated innovation chain in Uzbekistan’s critical minerals sector — from scientific research to industrial technologies, connecting domestic scientific expertise with real-world industrial needs and supporting the development of high-value-added technological products.
