“President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has set an ambitious goal for Uzbekistan — to become a leader in the mining industry and significantly increase the country’s GDP by 2030.
Uzbekistan's mineral reserves are currently estimated at 3 trillion US dollars,” said Arthur Polyakov, Chairman of the MINEX Forum Executive Committee, during his opening speech.
He officially launched the forum by outlining its main focus areas and emphasizing Central Asia’s strategic role in the global competition for critical raw materials.
Following the address, participants were shown a video highlighting Uzbekistan’s mining sector, its vast potential, and innovative capabilities in the field of critical metals.
“Our goal is to transform Uzbekistan into a global hub not only for raw material exports but also for advanced mineral processing”, — said Farhod Abdullayev, Chairman of the Board of UzTMK.
The opening ceremony brought together top industry leaders, policymakers, and international investors on one stage.
