A meeting was held between Uzbekistan TMK JSC and the leading research institute in the field of geology – the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM).
KIGAM is the national geological service of the Republic of Korea, specializing in the exploration of mineral resources, the development of processing technologies, as well as advancing scientific innovations and modern technologies in geology.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for joint geological exploration and drilling in Uzbekistan’s promising areas, as well as determining the metallurgical properties of discovered minerals and conducting research on their processing.
Bumhan Lee, Head of the Ore Geology Research Center at KIGAM, emphasized that the institute supports joint studies aimed at identifying the characteristics of minerals, their scientific analysis, and processing.
This cooperation broadens Uzbekistan’s opportunities to integrate international scientific expertise and introduce innovative approaches into its industrial development.
