A meeting in the format of an online dialogue was held between representatives of TMK and the Korea Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources (KIGAM). Representatives of the Uzbekistan diplomatic mission in Korea, the
University of Geological Sciences, and the Institute of Mineral Resources also participated in the meeting.
🎯 During the dialogue, the main focus was on conducting geological surveys of critical minerals in promising areas of Uzbekistan and implementing joint scientific and technical projects with TMK.
Priority areas identified by KIGAM:
🔘 Prospective areas in Uzbekistan for pegmatite ores;
🔘 Conducting geological surveys in promising areas of rare-earth carbonates and alkaline igneous rocks.
As part of the ongoing activities in these areas, TMK put forward specific proposals to strengthen technical and organizational cooperation with KIGAM.
In particular, plans include in-depth study and processing of pegmatite ores, as well as the development of joint projects on ash and slag waste.
Through such partnerships with leading global research institutes like KIGAM, TMK is actively strengthening its position in the global research network.
